Check the top, sole and spaces between the toes in good light. Use a mirror or ask for help if you cannot see the whole foot.

Notice any wound, blister, redness, swelling or temperature change. Do not treat wounds or hard skin with sharp tools at home.

If you have diabetes and notice a new wound, seek professional assessment promptly even when it is not painful.
