Frequently asked questions

Clear information before you book

These answers are for general education and do not replace assessment or emergency services.

When does a foot problem need urgent assessment?+

Seek urgent assessment for a new wound with diabetes, rapidly spreading redness or swelling, discharge, darkening skin, fever, or sudden severe pain. Medical emergencies should not wait for a WhatsApp reply.

Do I need a referral to visit Biofoot health care?+

You can request an initial assessment directly. We may recommend referral or coordinated specialist care based on the findings.

Can I remove a callus or corn at home?+

Avoid blades and home acids, especially with diabetes or poor circulation. Clinical assessment is safer and helps identify the source of pressure.

What should I bring to my appointment?+

Bring your medication list, relevant reports and the footwear you normally use. Booking starts on WhatsApp, an external service; do not send wound images or sensitive medical details unless the team requests them through an appropriate secure process.
